What does CAT DILR test, and how is it organised here?
Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning is CAT's second section: 20 questions in roughly 40 minutes, arranged as four or five sets of four to five questions each. It is the section where set *selection* decides the score, because a badly chosen set can absorb fifteen minutes and return nothing. Prasnya holds 576 DILR questions from its 24 released slot papers, filed under three chapters — Data Interpretation (258 questions), Advanced or Hybrid DILR (231), and Basic Logical Reasoning (87) — and then under 37 subtopics: caselets, data sufficiency, arrangements, games and tournaments, routes and networks, scheduling and allocation. Practising by set type is what makes the weakness visible, and because each set carries its full table, chart or passage with it, a set taken as a timed mock behaves exactly as it did in the paper. What the section tests

- Are DILR sets kept whole?
- Yes. A DILR set is only meaningful with its table, chart or caselet attached, so multi-part sets carry their source material and are presented and scored as a set, the way the paper does it. 231 such sets are published across the catalog.
- Can I practise one set type at a time?
- Yes — caselets, data sufficiency, arrangements, games and tournaments, routes and networks, and scheduling and allocation are each their own route, 37 in total. That is usually more useful than another full paper, because DILR weakness is nearly always specific to a set type.
- How does the analysis help with set selection?
- The attempt report shows time per set against what the set warranted, which is what surfaces the sets you should have skipped. Attempt quality separates a set you solved efficiently from one you finished but overspent on, and a 'confused' classification is the signal that you sank time into a set and submitted nothing.
