What does CAT Quantitative Aptitude test, and how is it organised here?

Quantitative Aptitude is one of CAT's three sections, tested over 22 questions in roughly 40 minutes, in a mix of single-answer MCQs with negative marking and TITA questions where the answer is typed. Prasnya files every QA question from its 10 released slot papers under five chapters — Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Mensuration, Number System, and Modern Math — and then under the specific topic inside them, so percentages, remainders and time-speed-distance are each their own practice route rather than questions you happen to meet while working through a paper. Any of those slices can be taken as a timed mock scored under CAT's own marking scheme, and the report that follows names the topic that lost the marks instead of returning a section score you then have to interpret.

Which Quant chapters are covered?

All five: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry & Mensuration, Number System, and Modern Math. Each breaks down further into its own topics, and every topic can be practised or taken as a timed mock on its own.

Can I practise a single Quant topic, like remainders?

Yes. Remainders sits under Number System, and it is its own route — every released-paper question on it, in one place, with the option to take just those as a timed test.

Does Quant practice include TITA questions?

Yes. Both formats CAT uses in Quant are supported: MCQs scored with negative marking, and TITA questions where you type the answer and there is no penalty for a wrong one.

Is Prasnya affiliated with the IIMs?
