Every IITM BS PYQ on Prasnya carries its full address — exam, subject, week, topic, subtopic. That is why you can practise one week across every year at once, and why a mock report can point at a topic instead of handing back a score.

Solve them by week, not by paper. A released paper deliberately mixes twelve weeks of a subject into one sitting, so working through it front to back asks you to recall material you studied months apart and leaves you with a score you cannot act on. The faster order is to take the week you are being taught right now, solve everything that week has ever been asked across all 24 released papers, and only then sit a whole paper against a clock to test your timing. Prasnya is built for that order: each of its 3,000+ IITM BS previous year questions carries the week and topic it came from, so a week is a route you open rather than a search you run, any slice of it can be started as a timed mock, and the report afterwards names the topic that cost you marks. Then revise from the questions you got wrong, not from the papers again. Prasnya is independent and not affiliated with IIT Madras.
The assessments
The papers are the same ones everybody has. What changes is that here they are already sorted into the weeks and topics each assessment actually examines, so a revision session can be aimed rather than general.
What you get
Six things, and each one exists because a folder of question papers cannot do it.
01
Exam, subject, week, topic, subtopic. That single property is the whole product: it is why one topic can be practised across every year at once, and why an attempt report can name the topic that lost the marks. 304 topics and 660 subtopics are addressable on their own.
02
A full paper, one subject, one week, one topic, one subtopic — each is startable as a real mock with a clock, a question palette and a submission you can review later. You are not limited to sitting whole papers.
03
Score, accuracy, marks lost, time per question, subject movement, difficulty, and attempt quality — perfect, wasted, overtime, confused. Pro adds a question-by-question solution review of the exact attempt you sat.
04
Filter by question type — MCQ, MSQ and numerical answer — by difficulty, and by year, so a revision session can be exactly "hard numerical questions from Statistics 2, Weeks 5 to 8".
05
Bookmark a question from anywhere and it waits in the Vault with its full context. The point of a wrong answer is the second attempt, and the second attempt has to be findable.
06
Every statement and solution is typeset with KaTeX rather than pasted as a screenshot, so it is readable, selectable and searchable on a phone at any size.
The route
The route is the same every time, which is the point — you never have to remember where anything lives.
Qualifier, Quiz 1 or Quiz 2 — or skip the exam entirely and revise straight from the syllabus.
All 8 foundation subjects, from Mathematics 1 through Programming in Python.
Weeks 1 to 12, exactly as the course runs them, so practice lines up with the lecture you just watched.
Then the subtopic, if the leak is that specific. 660 of them are individually addressable.
Practise one question at a time with the solution a click away, or start the same set as a timed test and get the report.
The syllabus
Every subject runs Weeks 1 to 12 exactly as the course does — 304 topics and 660 subtopics, each one its own route.
The comparison
| What you are trying to do | A folder of papers | Prasnya |
|---|---|---|
| Finding every question on one topic | Open each paper and scan it | One route, every year at once |
| Practising a single week | Not possible without manual sorting | Week 1 to Week 12, per subject |
| Taking a paper under time | A phone timer beside a PDF | A real clock, palette and submission |
| Knowing what went wrong | A total out of a total | The topic that lost the marks, named |
| Coming back to a wrong answer | A screenshot in your gallery | The Vault, with full context |
| Reading the mathematics | Whatever the scan looks like | Typeset, selectable, phone-legible |
