The average of five numbers is 24. When one of them is removed, the average of the remaining four is 26. What number was removed?

Ten slots, whole and intact.

Each CAT paper stays a paper. Open a slot to read it question by question, or start it as a timed attempt with the real section order and marking scheme.

CAT 2017

Both CAT answer formats

Single-answer MCQs with negative marking, and non-MCQ questions where you type the answer. Caselets carry their tables and figures with them, so a DILR set reads the way it did in the exam.

Sectional and topic mocks

A full slot is not always the right test. Build a timed mock from one chapter, one topic, or one subtopic — remainders alone, or parajumbles alone — and repair the thing that actually broke.

Every question knows where it lives.

Three sections, ten chapters, 43 topics. Every CAT question is filed against one of them, which is what lets the analysis point at a topic instead of a score.

A percentile is not a diagnosis.

Submitting a mock is the cheap part. The useful part is the twenty minutes afterwards, and that is the part most preparation skips.

Where the marks went

Sectional accuracy, marks lost to negative marking, and the difficulty band you start missing at — so you know whether the problem is knowledge or selection.

Where the time went

Time per question against the time the question deserved. Overtime attempts, wasted attempts on questions you never converted, and the sets you should have left alone.

What to fix first

The weakest topics surface by name. Take a topic mock on exactly that, and the next attempt tells you whether the repair held.

Questions.

Which CAT papers are on Prasnya?

CAT 2025, CAT 2024, CAT 2018 and CAT 2017 — ten slots in total, with every question mapped to its section, chapter and topic. Slot papers can be solved question by question or taken end to end as a timed mock.

Can I practise one CAT section at a time?

Yes. VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude are separate routes, and each drills down through chapter, topic and subtopic — so you can work on remainders or parajumbles specifically rather than a whole paper.

Does Prasnya support TITA questions?

Yes. Both formats CAT uses are supported: single-answer MCQs with negative marking, and non-MCQ questions where you type the answer.

Is Prasnya only for IIT Madras BS students?

No. Prasnya started with IIT Madras BS Data Science and now also serves MBA aspirants preparing for CAT. One account covers both, and you pick the programme you are studying when you sign in.

What does a CAT plan cost?

Plans start at Rs 69/month, with Plus at Rs 129/month and Pro at Rs 149/month. Every plan is a one-time payment for one month — nothing auto-renews. New accounts get 2 days of full access first.

Start with one slot.
